Here in the first part of our Big Saturday Interview with Curtis Faith, he discusses how he became involved with the Turtle project and how many of the early trading decisions he made as part of that famous program based on long-term, systematic trading were based on ideas and concepts he has only recently begun to understand - and write about - in his latest book, Trading From Your Gut. Said Faith, "I think there's always going to be a limit to what we can analyze and what we can put together in terms of rules and systematic trading methodologies."
He added: "I used to be of the mind that you should just follow the system no matter what. But I do think it's reasonable to look at it from a pure risk management perspective and say, at certain times, certain things happen. and you really ought to be more careful."
